Description
Lawyer. Marshal. Pioneer.
Phoebe Couzins broke barriers that most people didn’t even know existed. One of the first female lawyers in the United States, she was admitted to the bar in four states at a time when women weren’t supposed to be in courtrooms at all. When her father died in 1887, President Grover Cleveland appointed her the first female U.S. Marshal in American history.
She was buried with her marshal’s badge pinned to her chest.
“A woman typifies justice and symbolizes law.”
The frontier had room for everyone willing to fight for what was right. Wear her legend.
Printed on premium Comfort Colors 1717 heavyweight tee — garment-dyed for an authentic worn-in feel that only gets better with age.
